A surreal two-hander play which explores space, time and matter over the course of one lunch.

Do not come looking for answers. Here as these two men eat lunch, you won’t find them. The duo take you on a visually dense, experimental non-linear ride & makes no attempts to make the abstract understandable.

You aren’t left with a neat conclusion or a clear sense of story, instead it offers sharp highly choreographed fragmented ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ shards of comedy, drama, joy, sorrow, racism, sexism, surrealism, classism and more all through the lens of the acting industry & society at large.

The only thing you can expect is for the pair to eat. Nothing else is promised.
All we know is that everything will go on as long as they keep eating.

Like in ‘The Hours’ referring to ‘Mrs Dalloway’ but with food.
-’A meal’s whole ceremony in a single conversation. Just one meal. And in that meal all their previous conversations’-.

the luncheon reviews

I can say with certainty that it needs to be seen’.
(...)it seems that at the moments when it would be easiest to give up and consign the show as just ‘a weird piece of theatre’ there are moments which hit hard. Moments of real intense humour or darker moments that are made all the more impactful by the shocking spontaneity of them.
–London Pub Theatres

‘This was a seriously surreal piece of theatre that was fascinating to watch(...) Two colleagues take lunch(...) it was really difficult not to be hypnotised by Kace Monney and Luis Amália as they undertook what appeared to be a highly choreographed dining routine. Each move deliberate and thorough’.
–Paul Vale, theatre critic from The Stage

‘This bizarre and quixotic piece is an ever-changing play that continues to transform audiences’.
–Metamorph Theatre

No vengas buscando respuestas.
